Choices Of Solar Pool Heaters

You have done your research and discovered that solar pool heaters are the best way to go to heat and keep heat in your pool. Whether you have a built in pool or an above ground pool, using the sun and properly placed solar panels add to the benefits of why you wanted a pool at your home to begin with.

The benefits of solar pool heaters are numerous. First off and probably the most thought of when deciding on a panel is the reduction in the amount of costs to heat and keep the pool at temperatures that are pleasurable to enjoy. Secondly, the pool will be heated in an environmentally safe way. You are now using renewable energy that is free from the sun to heat your pool. Lastly, the most enjoyable part of using panels to heat the pool is that you may have easily doubled the swim season not to mention the value of your home.

There are two popular types of solar pool heaters that are being sold today for your pool system. Depending on your roof, the space available for the panels and the type of pool are deciding factors in which system you go with. The two systems are either made of large panels that are probably more recognizable or a different type in the form of power strips. Both systems provide the above mentioned benefits to heating your pool through solar conducting.

The solar panels that are more recognizable are flat panels that can be placed just about anywhere on your roof or possibly on the ground depending on your space. Most frequently used on above ground pools are the flat panels next to the pool. Since the pools that are not built in are not usually as large, a small water heater directly next to the pool will be efficient to warm the water. The larger panels to heat a built in system can be placed on a roof to
absorb more of the sun's warming rays and heat the pool water.  There many manufacturers like fafco, sungrabber, aquaquik, helicoil selling this type of equipment.

The other familiar water heater is made of power strips much like you would imagine a thin power strip used inside your house. These can either be adjusted to fit tight to your roof and be more aesthetically pleasing. They can also be placed on the ground much like the panels, but these can be used as a natural weed barrier on a piece of land next to the pool.
